"I was amazed at the words that these young girls have put to paper about their lives. I found it absolutely inspiring personally; it encouraged me to do more writing of my own and was an excellent model in self-expression through the written word. It also helped me feel more "connected" to women of a much younger generation than me."

Bold Ink

Bold Ink: Collected Voices of Women and Girls is a compilation of writing from girls and women ages 11 through 55. This unique collection of poems, short stories, essays, songs and scenes addresses everything from love and war to culture and current events. As a result of such diverse voices, Bold Ink provides the reader with insight into the minds of today’s young women, while celebrating the art of creative writing like no other anthology. Bold Ink was published by WriteGirl, a project of Community Partners ®, a nonprofit organization. WriteGirl provides programs for inner-city high school girls centered on the craft of creative writing and empowerment through self-expression. Co-edited by Deborah Reber & Keren Taylor.
